The Estates of Barton Creek, formally called The Estates Above Lost Creek, was developed in the mid 80s through a joint venture with notable names including:

• Ben Barnes, former Lieutenant Governor of Texas
• John Connally, former Governor of Texas
• Austin Sunbelt Development

Key features included:

• Large Lots with Estate Home sites
• Natural wildlife and beauty
• Convenient location to downtown Austin

Even today, as Austin develops into a major metropolitan city, "The Estates", has maintain the same charm as envisioned by the creators.
